Dapco has developed proprietary electronics systems to meet the diverse needs of our inspection system's requirements.  We have two main sets of electronics components which we employ in our systems.  Both utilize an industrial strength PC for the operator interface.

Our systems utilize microprocessors to control data channels (e.g. transducers) and to collect and process the ultrasonic signal data.  In most applications ultrasonic data is collected on a positional basis at intervals ranging from one test per millimeter to one test per 1/64 inch, as opposed to using a fixed repetition rate.  This provides a consistent pulse density and thus gives more reliable and repeatable results.  Patented algorithms are used to virtually eliminate false defect indications during the inspection process.

The RTS-300 series is used for implementing fully parallel systems which have a microprocessor for controlling and collecting data from each transducer in the system.   All transducers are fired in parallel based on one global synchronization signal.

The RTS400 series is used for implementing systems which do not require the fully parallel performance given by the RTS300 series.  The RTS400 provides flexible architectures consisting of a combination of parallel firing and channel multiplexing.
