Rail Inspection Vehicle

Since 1975, Dapco has invested millions of dollars in research and development in all facets of Rail Inspection to assure our systems are the most advanced and reliable systems available anywhere.  Our Rail Inspection Vehicles employ an ultrasonic test carriage which is fully automated and hydraulically controlled.  Ruggedly built using stainless steel tubular construction and  linear ball bearings, it is capable of operating under the most demanding track conditions.  The carriage can test through frogs and switches, and is capable of tracking at speeds in excess of 20 miles per hour.  Multi-directional, ultrasonic wheel probes are mounted with quick disconnect brackets, allowing easy replacement and pre-zeroing of all wheel probes to further reduce valuable down time.   

The interior of the vehicle is constructed with ample storage and work bench area, filing cabinet drawers, metal tool cabinet, and  refrigerator and microwave oven compartments.  All surfaces are Formica covered for easy maintenance.

The rear-view control console is human-engineered to allow maximum visibility and system parameter monitoring from the seated operators position.
